Purpose

The Friends of the Powhatan County Library is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the library.

Events

Proceeds from the Friends fundraisers help support special events such as:

  • Author visits
  • Cultural events for children, teens, and adults
  • Guest storytellers
  • Summer reading programs

Library Needs

The Friends also provide funding for items, such as equipment and furniture that the library needs.

Membership Dues

Membership dues start at $5.

Volunteers Needed

In addition to supporting the Friends' efforts through membership dues, many people are needed to make advocacy and fundraising successful. To volunteer, or for more information about the Friends, email Joanne Fico or call 804-598-8224.
