Local Community Projects
  • We collect aluminum cans at each club meeting and with the money we raised, we sent a local Powhatan student to Forestry Camp at Holiday Lake in June.
  • We participate every year with the Christmas Mother program adopting a family and helping out in other ways that the program needs.
  • We have donated to the Robbie Green fund.
  • We sell used books and videos at our Holiday Gift Harvest and give all the proceeds to the public school library.
  • We donate food and items to the Armory every month that we meet, this helps give back to the soldiers in our community.
  • A local solider lost his home due to fire, our club chipped in and sent the family a donation to get back on their feet.
  • We send care packages to soldiers who are serving in Iraq.
  • We get donated items from local businesses and put together what we call a "teacher tote" and present them to New Powhatan Teachers at their teacher orientation in August.
  • This is just a small portion of what our club does each year.
We would love to meet you ... share our mission with you ...
and share our love for our community!
