The Powhatan Clothes Closet
is a non-profit project providing used clothing and
household items to the community.
It is sponsored by the
Woman's Club of Powhatan and the Department of Social
Services.
It is staffed by
volunteers.

Patrons:
- For a $2.00
donation, patrons may fill a brown grocery bag.
- Additional money is
received for certain items such as those too big to
fit in a bag.
- Money received by
the Clothes Closet is used to benefit the community.
Those
in Need:
- If you need special
assistance due to financial hardship or personal
emergencies, contact the Department of Social
Services at (804) 598-5630 or the Clothes Closet
Coordinator.
Those
who wish to Donate Items:
- We accept clean,
useable clothes, toys, and household items.
- You may donated
items to the Closet on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or
Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- You will be given a
Tax Donation Slip.
